Default Question for in home daycare providers?

I am not a licensed day care but I babysit for a friend of mine who has 4 children plus I have 1 of my own. I was just wondering of an example schedule and what activities I can do with them. Ages are 1, 2, 5 and 7. I have them Mon thru Thurs 5:30 to 2:30, Our schedule as of now is they go back to sleep until about 7:00 than I let them watch 1 hr of educational tv at 8 we have breakfast from 8:30 until 11 they play or color at 11 we have lunch from 11:30 until about 1:30 they have a nap and than from 1:30 until there mom picks them up I read them stories. It has been working ok so far but I am worried that I am not giving them enough educational time or not working with them enough. Thank you!

Good things for children to do is hand eye cordination activities. Coloring is good. They can do beading, writing exercises skipping jumping jacks and running are good for their coordination.

Find some activities that are good for the 1 and 2 year old as group and the 5 and 7 year old as group. Some example for the 1and 2 year old are story time, coloring, finger painting, introduction to numbers and letters in a fun way, etc. Then for the 5 and 7 year old, you could do simple science experiments, dramatic play/dress up, fun math games, etc. Another idea might be to get the other children involved in an activity and work with each child one on one once a week. It is nice to see that you are concerned about working with the children. My daughter is in home daycare and does not seem to be getting any educational stimulation. Keep up the good work!!
