There was a story a couple years ago about a company that was sued by Arnold Schwarzenegger for making bobble-head dolls with his likeness. The company countered that they have a right because, as a politician, Schwarzenegger is in the public domain. Is this argument valid? For example, can I lawfully start a business selling bumper stickers and T-shirts with the name of a politician?
