Safety in New York City???
I will be visiting New York in July for the very first time with a couple of friends. Apart from looking like a tourist, what other things can we do to avoid being mugged? What kind of purse or bag is the best to carry? Also, we're see some broadway plays, but we are staying about 15 miles east of Manhattan. What's the best way to get back and forth safetly at night?
