I am one of those people who love the Oregon Trail, and it seems so much more people love it too, even the people that play the most vulgar, violent games ever proclaim it's one of their favourites. Is it just like a classic game, that everyone remembers "Oregon Trail Day" or something? I mean, even if it is a classic game, I intruduced it to my sister who is 8 and hates history, and thought it looked dumb when I was playing it, I told her to sit and play it for herself and she loved it. I mean, it's not like sims2 technology, but still fun, and sometimes even funner. Why do you think people like it so much? Of course I am sure there are people in the world who hate this game as well.My question was: What's so great about the game, I mean why do I (and countless others) love it so much?

OH my Gosh... I havent played that game since ...forever. I loved that game... LOVED! Unfortunally I lost it and never could find it,thus, i was never able to play it again. I think it beat it like 2 billion times.. i played it for hours. Sorry, what was your qestion?

I don't know about many others, but that was one of the first computer games( along with Carmen Sandiego) that seemed strictly for fun that I was allowed to play (and at school no less!!) The game provides a challenge for people of all ages, you get to put your own names in, and you never knew the outcome from one trip to the next. It was fun to see what supplies you kept, what diseases you caught, hunting, etc.. There was something for everyone in that game!
